About L.A. Rainbow Album
Dane Donohue shared, "I am delighted and honored to release my first album since the 1978 Columbia record, now on the Sony Music Entertainment Legacy Recordings label, with the P-VINE Records label in Japan. Their enthusiasm about my new music is quite humbling and I truly appreciate the work of their dedicated team. Also, I am most grateful for the numerous contributions of my remarkable Co-Producer John H. Nixon and the extraordinary musicians who poured their hearts into the production of this very personal album for me."
Kanazawa Toshikazu, P-VINE Records Supervision and Light Mellow Editor, describes the L.A. Rainbow Album: "A city backstreet, light and shadow. Time passes, and the moment when loneliness and melancholy overlap is now a moving moment once again. The legendary AOR Singer-Songwriter Dane Donohue has made a miraculous comeback after 46 years. The mastermind behind this album is Page 99 's John Nixon. And Ole Børud, the flag bearer of Scandinavian AOR, participates in two songs. The current AOR/Yacht Rock, led by the new generation, has finally reached this point."
Dane Donohue adds, "The support from my listeners in Japan has always been amazing since Sony (Japan) re-issued my 1978 Columbia Records Album on CD in 1992. Now I am also very grateful for the positive media coverage, both digital and print, concerning the release of my new album titled L.A. Rainbow on P-VINE Records. As an example, the in depth interview with the respected music industry influencer AOR AGE Magazine."

Dane Donohue declared this heartfelt tribute to his fellow Album Producer John H. Nixon: "For many years I believed that it would be extremely difficult, if not altogether impossible, to record a second album that could even come close to matching the quality and standard of my first Columbia Records recordings. After all, I was fortunate to have not only a generous recording budget, but also the benefit of the Los Angeles Boylan Dynasty and their golden address book of the industry’s elite. In all, there were 17 Grammy winning Artists that provided backup along side some of the top session players in the LA and West Coast music scene at the time. The running joke was that I was the only unknown Artist on the album.
Then, four decades plus later entered fate and I crossed paths with Berklee College of Music graduate John H. Nixon. I met John and his brother Tom on a podcast of their popular Yacht Rock show Out of the Main. After I played John some new songs and collaborated on a recording with his group Page 99, the end result is we Co-Produced my second album for P-VINE Records in Tokyo titled L.A. Rainbow. Not only is John an extremely talented musician and producer, he has his own golden address book of pristine talent. I really can't thank you enough John, for I am truly blessed."
The Players
Dane Donohue says, "I can only say that I am incredibly blessed to have so many multi-talented musicians contribute in so many ways to the L.A. Rainbow album. Their personal encouragement and enthusiasm about these recordings are especially meaningful to me."
